Inspection and Test Plan
The agreed schedule of checks, hold points and witness points across an order, fixed before production.
An ITP names what is checked, by whom, at what stage, and which points stop production until released — the customer's, a third party's or ours. Agreeing it at order prevents the common dispute where a buyer expects witnessed testing on material already despatched. For defence work the ITP also fixes which records form the final document pack.
